The obvious use cases for anonmesh are emergencies: conflict zones, natural disasters, protests where governments cut internet access. The founders built this after seeing firsthand how critical payment and communication infrastructure becomes during these moments, and how fragile that infrastructure actually is. But mesh networking and offline encrypted payments solve problems beyond crisis situations. Festivals and sporting events where tens of thousands of people overload cell networks. Underground transit systems with no signal. Remote and rural areas with permanent dead zones. International travel without data plans. Any context where you want to transact or communicate without relying on infrastructure controlled by someone else. anonmesh has already tested their system across 16 acres of open terrain. The next challenge is scaling to thousands of simultaneous users, think a packed stadium or a protest march. We want research on specific use cases. Not vague gestures at "privacy" or "decentralization" but concrete contexts where infrastructure-independent encrypted communication and payments would change what's possible. Specific regions, populations, events, or scenarios. The kind of research that could actually inform where anonmesh focuses as they scale.
